Iowa City Aug 27 The State Services for Crippled Children will hold a nine county field clinic at the Novace Mann School in Newton on Wednesday Sept 11 for chronically ill or handicapped youngsters. Counties served include Story Marshall Tama Poweshiek Jasper Mahaska Marion Warren and eastern Polk. Dr George S Barnes Jr director says the SSCC sends University of Iowa medical teams into more than 30 communities yearly. Any child up to 21 with a handicapping condition is eligible. Advance referrals from local physicians are encouraged. The clinic offers pediatrics orthopedics speech and hearing psychology and physical therapy X ray and lab services. Afterward cases are reviewed and recommendations sent to local physicians. There is no charge for any clinic services.
