Idaho Jackrabbits Targeted by County Plan
Lincoln County Idaho acts with County Agent Maroney and the farm bureau to curb jackrabbits by selling poison at cost and paying a 2 cent bounty per rabbit ear. In two weeks 140000 ears were turned in, with vouchers totaling $1400. Farmers poison at night, sometimes earning $18 to $37 per person, as strychnine-laced bait wipes out rabbit populations.
