Otley Neal Kuiken of near Fifield and his parents Mr and Mrs Jacob Kuiken of Pella left Tuesday morning of last week and arrived Tuesday afternoon in Chicago at the home of John Kuiken. They will visit at the John and Sam Kuiken home and also at the Pete and Marion Kuiken homes. Mr and Mrs Richard Postma and family visited Sunday evening at the Charlie Postma home near Monroe.

Summit Strivers 4-H held a meeting with Lucile and Marjorie Vanden Board. plans for the Marion County fair and pageant were discussed. A special meeting was set for August 10 at Anna Slocum’s to plan fair activities. Mrs Henry Kaldenberg visited J B Vriezelaar. Community Meeting At Bean Verners Home
A meeting was held at the home of Mr and Mrs Bean Verners in Pella on Wednesday night with a good crowd. After the business session refreshments were served. Neal Kuiken, with his parents from Pella, traveled to Michigan for a two week visit. Walter and David Recroat visited their parents in the area. Jesper De Raad and Gerrit Vink families visited Gerrit Vande Kieft’s home. A light rain last Tuesday night made the ground greener and encouraged garden seed planting. Police seized nearly two tons of literature from Communist libraries.
