Farm trip reports hail damage north of Sully Iowa
A farm tour Friday July 30 surveyed damage from a July 28 hailstorm west of Sully. Crops along the river showed windrows and damaged oats though much of the corn remained standing. The Conover farm near Sully suffered major destruction to barns and a corn crib, with windblown debris and uprooted trees. Repairs are planned with contractor Ben Van Zante and local cooperation, as Conover and neighbors rebuild before alfalfa harvest.

Farms to be bought under FSA program in Marion county
