A baby daughter was born to Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Vander Weal of 509 Franklin Street at Mahaska hospital Friday, July 26. Logan Vander Zyl visited the Neal Randall home in Georgetown Colorado on Wednesday, July 24. Mrs. Gertrude Lautenbach and son Charles of Georgetown joined Mr. and Mrs. John Den Hartog and sons of Knoxville on a Mt. Evans and Denver trip. Neal Randall celebrated his wedding anniversary and his wife’s birthday Thursday, July 18.

Four Kiwanis golfers in state tourney at Waterloo
Four members of the Pella Kiwanis Club played in the State Kiwanis golf tournament at Waterloo on Friday July 26. The Ottumwa team won the four man division and Hampton took first in the two man, with Pella nineteen strokes behind the winners.
