Vander Linden Glee Club Gives Peoria Reception 1929
Frances Vander Linden reports on the 1929 Ladies Glee Club tour from Pella to Peoria. The bus arrived ahead of schedule, the Bloomington Passion Play inspired the group, and the Reform Church concert drew an enthusiastic full house despite rain. Central alumni enjoyed reacquainting and a social hour followed, with praise for blending voices and a large varied repertoire. The party then traveled to Pekin with fond memories for Central and Pella communities.
