Sedrel and Terpstra Wed in Leighton Ceremony
Miss Carol Ann Sedrel daughter of Mr and Mrs Henry Sedrel of Leighton wed Frank Terpstra Jr son of Mr and Mrs Frank Terpstra Route 3 Oskaloosa in a double ring ceremony at Leighton Ebenezer Reformed Church attended by about 200 guests. Rev R J Zongna officiated as lighted candelabra and blue ribbon gladioli decor graced the church with a white carpet and bows on pews. The bouffant lace trimmed gown featured a fitted bodice and sequins.

Wedding details recall a 1940s Iowa ceremony with ornate attire
A bride and groom wed in a church ceremony near Oskaloosa Iowa. The bride wore a long tulle veil with pearls and carried a white cascade bouquet. the groom and groomsmen wore black suits. Attendants included flower girl Janet Ferguson and ring bearer Larry Van Maanen. Family members served in roles from serving at the bridal table to pouring punch and greeting guests. The couple will live on a farm south of Oskaloosa after a wedding trip through western states. The bride, a Pel la High School graduate, had worked at Pella Produce. the groom, an Oskaloosa High School graduate, is a farmer.

Miss Wanda Toom wed Larry Hoksbergen in a double ring ceremony at First Bapel Church on Saturday afternoon. Rev E G Ward officiated as Marilet Grandia and Jeannette Toom served as attendants. The couple plans a short wedding trip before settling at their respective homes.
Cull Women's Aux Set Plans Annual Meeting
The Cull Women s Auxiliary will hold its annual meeting Monday evening April 25 at 7 80 in Jordan Hall. Members from Leighton Oskaldaga and Paine City hope to organize a chapter. Tulip Time Dutch Market contributions will be received, with exhibits. Arend D Lubberg will speak on Centuries of Service and a dramatic reading by Mullen and other freshmen will be hosted by First Reformed Clone.

Couple Wed at Setar Church in Grinnell
The ceremony united Mr. and Mrs. Crawford of Grinnell with Mrs. Robert Scull of Lynnville. The bride, a graduate of a personnel training course in Omaha, Neb., works in the General Telephone office in Grinnell. The groom is a graduate of the Lynnville Sully school and employed at Parsons Inc in Newton.
Honored Bridal Selections Presented at Central College
Dorothy Van Houweling a Central College senior from Prairie Guy will present her senior organ set on Friday April 22 at 8 p.m. in the college chapel. she is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Van Houweling and has served as secretary and treasurer of the Choral Adcomm. The sacred program includes Bach and Langlais pieces. A bridal shower for Mrs. Larry Hoksbergen was held Monday afternoon April 11 at Mrs. Monroe Street, with 24 guests and a lunch. The couple were married April 2 at the First Baptist Church and are residing at 511 Franklin Street.
