Society Reading Circle Meets At College Dormitory
Saturday afternoon the Ladies Social and Literary club heard two papers on The Newest Discoveries in Medical Science by Mrs. Elizabeth Taylor and Mrs. A D Ver Steeg at the college dormitory. The Bible Games Group met Friday evening at Mrs Si Brand home for Bible study. The Lake Prairie Township 4 H club met April 9 at the home of William and Nicholas Van Gorp southeast of Pella with 9 members present. Abe Klaaren was named captain of the kitten ball team. W C T U meets Tuesday April 17 at 2 30 p m at Mrs J M Cox home with Loyal Temperance Legion groups leading. Ladies Aid meets Thursday at the church hosted by Mrs J W Vander Linden Mrs P Van Rees and Mrs Kate Van Gorp.

Legion Auxiliary and Philathen Class Meet at Homes
The Philathen Class plans a Friday evening meeting at Miss Minnie Vanden Berg’s home with assistants Miss Hattie Vander Meulen Mrs George Gezel and Mrs Fred Scheffers. The Legion Auxiliary gathered at Mrs G Rysdam sr last Tuesday despite hail and rain with talks by state district manager Mrs Bartholomew and child welfare chair Mrs Johnson and a push for membership. Luncheon was served by hostesses including Mrs G Rysdam Dora Sobenga Mrs M Hoeksema and Mrs John Vander Voort.

Ladies Aid Meeting at Mrs Van Houwelingen Farm Edville Iowa
Mrs Henry Van Houwelingen hosted the ladies aid at her southeast Edville Iowa home on Tuesday April 3. A short program followed the business meeting and refreshments were served with about nine attendees named including Mrs Vander Wilt Mrs Den Hartog and Mrs Van Houwelingen.
