New S.C. Stephens Auditorium Opens at Iowa State Ames
Visitors toured the $4.9 million C.Y. Stephens Auditorium at Iowa State University in Ames, a dual theater and music hall with 2,637 seats, advanced acoustics, handmade Japanese curtain, and $36,000 stage curtain. Civic donors included C.Y. Stephens. The piece notes 11,000 donors and a dedication in 1969.
