Sheriff Shives reported a busy year with 373 gun permits issued and about 51 warrants served plus 45 justice of the peace matters. Delinquent tax notices were sent to 250 county parties. Easter Seal Drive Aids Disabled Children In 1968 Campaign
Reuben Schakel of Pella and Miss Madge Crozier of Knoxville lead Marion county Easter Seal chairmen for a 1968 campaign running from March to Easter Sunday April 14. The Easter Seal Society of Town has for 40 years funded rehabilitation treatment equipment and training for the handicapped. Camp Sunnyside near Des Moines is owned and operated by the society. Homebound adults are trained to make gift items for sale. Scholarships aid those studying rehabilitation and related health fields. A colored slide presentation about Sunnyside is available to groups without charge. Scheduling requires at least two weeks.

Red Rock Buildings Attract 12 Bidders
