Pecos Texas Adopts Hotel Tax for Convention Center Funds
An ordinance in Pecos Texas imposes a 2 percent hotel or motel occupancy tax to fund acquisition and development of convention center facilities and related tourism promotion. The plan authorizes nonprofit agencies to administer tax revenues and sets penalties for noncompliance. Sealed bids were invited for a 1/2 ton pickup with specifications, with Reeves County issuing the notice.
