County Keeps Tax Rate Despite Valuation Drop
Reeves county will maintain a 45 cent per $1000 tax rate for the coming fiscal year, despite a valuation decline between 750000 and 1000000 dollars. County Judge J B Woolfolk announced the decision noting lower refinery and cattle assessments. The court avoided a tax increase and questioned cash-basis viability for the full year.
