A study by Dr. George L. Miller and Dr. Chipei P. Tseng presented to the American Statistical Association argues Miss America is not average. The profile is a 20 year old tall brunette with green eyes born in April, a 12 inch waist to bust hip ratio, and a small town California origin. Judges prefer swimsuit winners and small town contestants, with California entrants advancing far in pageants.
