Barstow Clean-Up Led by High School Students
Barstow High School students in grades 7-12 spent a day cleaning the town before Homecoming. Ten teams, each with a senior boy captain, swept a one block wide strip townward collecting trash and piling it for removal. About 50 loads were hauled away. The event, supervised by teachers, earned praise for civic spirit. Wright hosted a noon weiner roast and a large bonfire preceded by a pep rally.
