Sunday concert by Big Bend Chamber Orchestra and Chorus
The Big Bend Chamber Orchestra and Chorus will give their season opening concert Sunday Oct. 28 at 7 p.m. in Graves- Pierce Gym on the Sul Ross State University campus. The program titled A Night with the Classics in Music features Mozart Beethoven and Brahms. The one hour and 15 minute free concert is jointly sponsored by Sul Ross and the Big Bend Community with support from the Texas Commission on the Arts and Humanities and the National Endowment for the Arts. Dr. T Rex Wilson, the conductor, notes grants are matching and invites contributions to fund future events including a February children's concert and a May major choral work with orchestra.
