Pecos council proceeds with Saragosa Park plan
The Pecos City Council voted unanimously to press ahead with Saragosa Park despite a federal grant denial. City Manager J J Maxey said the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department notified the city that federal funding was declined and no grant could be considered until the next March 1979 review. The plan, costing about 136000 total, would have split costs with federal funds while city labor would cover the remainder.
