Readers vent on observers and political mudslinging in Reeves County
Two letters to the editor critique the cost of U.S. observer presence and accuse a Texas political figure, Bob Krueger, of mudslinging against Senator Tower. The readers question minority labeling, campaign tactics, and attendance records, urging focus on issues over rhetoric. The missive from Lynne Lewis and the Pecos letter reflect local political tensions in Reeves County during October 1978.
