The DPS demonstrates Breathalyzer testing for drunk drivers with 90 units, costing about $1,000 each. A one year study funded partly by a federal grant will place testers in Houston and Dallas metro areas. Refusal to test currently yields no penalty. future implied consent laws may suspend licenses automatically based on breath readings.
Barstow residents offer congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. H L Hallard. Mrs Hallard is the former Ruth Maulding of Barstow. The couple wed September 16 at the home of Rev Forrest Smith pastor of the Assembly of God Church.
