Shaft adds edge to CBS debut as vigilante tale falls short
In New York review style, the Shaft TV debut on CBS is critiqued as a lively film transformed into a TV series. Richard Roundtree returns as Shaft with Lt. Al Rossi, but the script is weak and pace uneven. The piece notes the show centers on a group of vigilant citizens who target acquitted villains, while praising Ed Barth and Roundtree's performance. The schedule and surrounding programming are listed.
