Mrs W D Black crowned Queen of the Month at Barstow Senior Citizens Club meeting on November 19 during a covered dish dinner. She moved to Barstow from East Texas in 1905 with Dr W D Black, later lived in Ward County, and the couple bought a home in Pecos.

Thanksgiving In Song By Robert Neal Hughes
Robert Neal Hughes, local young businessman, was a guest of the Twentieth Century Study Club. The Season of Thanksgiving was presented in musical arrangement by Hughes, who accompanied himself on guitar. He described Pilgrim arrival with Psalm three and performed early period songs including Confess Jehovah, The Wayfaring Stranger, The Rising of the Moon, and a 1932 composition.

The Pecos Eastern Star Chapter will host its annual Thanksgiving Supper for members and families on Monday night November 25 at 6 00 p m in the Masonic Hall dining room.
