Funeral services for Mrs Susan Deda Liven Ligon were held at the First Presbyterian Church in Pecos with Rev. John W Byrd and Rev. Joe Scrimshire officiating. Burial followed at Fairview Cemetery. Survived by husband S E Ligon son Earl Jr daughters Louise and Lucile a brother A E Bell and three sisters Mrs Jim Cox Mrs E W Acton and Mrs L M Tipton all named relatives attended the funeral. Deepest sympathy extended to the family.
Millie Knox was crowned Pecos Football Queen for 1935 at a coronation in the high school auditorium. Max Stool, Pecos Eagles backfield captain, was King of Football. Mary Sue Johnson served as Duchess. The ceremony featured a radio program hosted by Helen Toliver and broadcast over ELEN with royalty visiting from Mentone Odessa Ft. Stockton Kermit Joyah Barstow.
A meeting of Pecos Savings and Loan share subscribers is set for 10 AM Tuesday November 26 at Hotel Brandon to elect officers and organize the association. Officers to be chosen include chairman vice chairman secretary and up to five directors with the attorney and secretary serving as directors.

Barney Hubbs and H. P. Davis returned from El Paso Saturday afternoon after conferring with WPA officials on organizing a Reeves County planning board. Davis also discussed San Rose Bowl Carnival participation by Lecos for the January 1, 1936 event in El Paseo.
A Reeves county planning board was formed at a City Hall meeting led by J F Biggs president of the Chamber of Commerce. Officers include Judge J B Wolfolk chairman and representatives E W Baccus Dee Davis C O Finley John Lope and G B Finley. The board studies WPA project needs and makes recommendations to WPA officials. Work underway on Balmorhea dam Toráh streets and the G sandfalls road project with more projects planned as workers become available.
Mrs. Buddy Withers consents to arrange and train a dancing chorus of Pecos beauties for the Rotary Revue at the Grand Theatre Pecos on December 17. Other features include a minstrel directed by Karl Bell and a personal appearance by Happy Boy Thomas.
The Pecos Enterprise announces a Special West Texas Edition marking 50 years since the arrival of the T P Railroad and the opening of KIM The Voice of West Texas The edition led by Mrs Woodylee Haile and D K Doyle seeks local recollections and suggestions to capture West Texas growth history and future progress in Pecos and surrounding towns
A mass meeting was held Wednesday evening November 21 in the Pecos high school auditorium to oppose drinking in public places at football games. Sponsored by the PTA and Ministerial Alliance, the gathering featured speakers T. Y. Casey Judge Russell Rev Turner and others. About 200 attendees signed a pledge protesting open drinking and disorderly conduct at public events and promising support for corrective action.
The Barstow Loboes conclude their season this afternoon with a game against the strong Balmorhea team in Barstow. The Loboes have a 6 1 record after winning six of seven games this season.
Radial KITN will broadcast a semi dramatic Thanksgiving Day program from 11 to 1 during the morning. Music will provide a background as details are being worked out. The station announced the upcoming broadcast.
A Thanksgiving Dance is planned at the Barn Nite Club Thursday night with the Wink orchestra providing music. Radio Station KIM sponsors the event and will broadcast the music starting around 9 o clock.
The people of Wink will be invited to Pecos for the football game in a radio program Wednesday morning over KIM. Mayor Toliver and J. F. Biggs of the Chamber of Commerce will extend the invitation with others. Further details will be announced later.
The Fort Stockton school band will perform a concert over Radio KIU Sunday afternoon from four to five thirty. The program also features several novelty musical numbers by the Fort Stockton group.
Otis Long hosts the Moenahatus Hour at 9:30 A M drawing wide mail from towns in the region and appears as the station's top star among listeners.
The Christian Board of Education of the New Mexico General Conference holds a meeting at the First Methodist Church in Pecos. Attendees include Rev. R. F. Davis of Alpine president, Rev. G. A. Schleuter of Roswell secretary, Rev. H. W. Jordan of Carlsbad, Judge C. E. Meade of Marfa, H. M. Long of Fort Stockton, and Rev. Joe B. Scrimshire of Pecos.
Jack Hawkins spent Saturday in El Paso on business activities involving local contacts and routine meetings.
The Pecos Lions Club sponsors an air circus at Pecos Municipal Airport two miles south of town on Sunday at 3 pm. Featured pilot Faye Lucille Cox will perform three stunts in a seven act show and perform a 19,000 foot parachute jump with a flour sack on her back to aid visibility. Proceeds benefit the Will Rogers Memorial Fund.
Greenlee and Eunice Cole, a popular young couple in Monahans, were married Thursday morning in Barstow with Judge Fred Snelson officiating.
