Madera Valley water system awarded FHA loan for extension
The Madera Valley Water Supply Corp received a 122000 loan from the Farmers Home Administration in Washington DC to extend the system. Director Malcom Proffer said improvements are needed for peak summer demand and that the project will serve 530 meters once completed. Construction will begin after Washington paper work is finalized with funds already allocated.

A Reeves County report shows Series E and United States Savings Bonds sales in September totaling 26,997 with nine month sales at 121,831 to reach 87 percent of the 1971 goal. Texas monthly and nine month totals are 315,465,128 and 15,033,393 respectively with statewide progress toward goals. Nationwide Series E and H purchases total 415 million for January through September, up from 1970, with Series E to H exchanges at 197 million for the first nine months.
