Williams wins praise with third place in Tri-State and Mexico show
Mrs. Lela Williams of 511 South Hackberry Street placed third with Below Montmartre in the First Annual Tri-State and Mexico watercolor show at the College of Artesia. Judge Peter Hurd of San Patricio New Mexico called the event one of the best of its type and noted the wealth of talent. The paintings are on display in the Student Union cafeteria until mid June, viewable 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
