Foodway Store Expansion Permits Filed On Eddy Street
Goffs Brothers Construction Co. secured a city building permit for a new Foodway store beside the current Eddy Street site. The 18 000 square foot steel and masonry building costs about 130 000 dollars, with remodeling of the old structure to follow in roughly four months. New Mexico Properties of Roswell oversees the shopping center plans including a Sprouse Reitz center and a 2400 square foot shop, plus another 18 000 square foot building to be leased. Architects Alley and Wag generated Spanish style storefront details. A 192 space lot provides a future service station near the southwest corner, with a rear loading dock and truck ramp for access.
