Four Pecos residents were injured four miles west of Big Spring when a car crash occurred after noon Friday due to a blow-out. L W Ligon died Tuesday afternoon. his wife and children, plus Mrs. Duncan and Mrs. Gaither, were hospitalized with severe injuries. Funeral planned for Saturday at Assembly of God Church.

Ted Johnston, chief field supervisor for the Southern region of Range Conservation under the AAA, leaves Pecos for Washington to assume new duties. He will visit Fort Worth, College Station, and East Texas before reporting. On a six month Extension Service leave, he may secure the permanent post, spending half his time in Washington and the rest in Texas and Oklahoma.
