Owners approve one and one option in MLB talks

The plan would allow about 600 players to become free agents after their contracts end, with an eight year tie to a team afterward. Lee MacPhail calls it far reaching and not unanimously supported. The offer seeks spring training progress and a reply by April 1 from Marvin Miller's players association, with further talks due.
