The Reeves County Texas case pursues collection of ad valorem taxes on The South Fifty Feet of Lot 3 Block 100 Original Town Pecos City, with Town of Pecos City claiming $102.18 plus interest and penalties. Defendants include John Lee Gray Emma Jean Gray and others with unknown residences. The court requires appearance by the first Monday after 42 days from April 15, 1968 to show cause for judgment and foreclosure of tax liens.

Mildred C Harbour Ellison, long time Barstow resident, died March 7 after a two week illness. She was born August 10, 1886 in Coryell County near Copperas Cove and lived in Kent Fort Stockton Toyah and Barstow. Survived by a stepson Alvin Ellison of Balmorhea and other relatives. funeral held March 9 at First Presbyterian Church Barstow with burial in Balmorhea Cemetery.
