Gem and Mineral Show Planned in Big Spring
The Bicentennial Gem and Mineral Show will be held Saturday and Sunday at the Dora Roberts Exhibit Building on the Howard County Fair Grounds in Big Spring. Exhibits are non competitive with rough and finished stones for viewing or sale. Opening ceremonies start at 9 a.m. Saturday with local officials and committee members participating in the ribbon cutting. Youth groups view free Saturday morning, with service personnel and police free throughout. Adults pay 1, students 50 cents, children under six free.
