Pecos City joins protest against electric rate hike
The Pecos City Council voted to have the Texas Municipal League represent Pecos in opposing a proposed 16.1 percent increase in adjusted gross revenues sought by Texas Electric Service Company. CPS said it has absorbed earlier increases and relies 60 percent on TESC power. The council also moved to deregulate rate making for Warner Cable Television and prep for related filings, while delaying delinquent tax actions and reviewing a discrimination investigation involving former Police Captain Diaz.
