Calcium not the problem in osteoporosis debate
Dr. Lamb explains that dietary calcium does not drive artery calcification or osteoporosis. He urges fortified skim milk and notes calcium is mobilized from bones and should not be blamed for arterial deposits. Vasodilators have limited effect on scarred or calcified arteries, and fatty cholesterol deposits are usually stable inside the artery wall.
