The West of the Pecos Park in Pecos moves toward completion ahead of the rodeo. Delapidated buildings are gone and much of the site has been repurposed, including shrubs planted, walks laid, a fountain installed, and the Roy Bean replica restored. Future plans include a bandstand, shops, and a plaza.
