Eagles shine with Garato and Carrasco in All-Star game
Pecos Eagles seniors Brandon Garato and Michael Carrasco played extended roles for the West squad in the Greater West Texas Baseball Coaches Association Class 3A All-Star Game at Wolfforth Frenship High School. Garato caught all nine innings and went 1 for 3 with a stolen-base attempt while Carrasco started at third and appeared in left field, finishing 2 for 3 with two RBIs as the West fell 9-7. The East built a 9-0 lead before Carrasco's two-run single with the bases loaded in the ninth sparked a late rally.
