Park plan for Maxey Park trimmed but council balks at costs
Landscape designers from Parkhill Smith and Cooper presented a revised Maxey Park plan to the Town of Pecos City Council cutting about 9 million from a 26.3 million price but raising concerns over overall cost and layout. The plan keeps five fields including three baseball and two softball fields near Interstate 20 with restrooms, a central quad, seating, cages, and a large west parking area while adding splash park, play area, and picnics as part of the redesign.
