Welfare mothers train in Indiana construction program
In Bedford Indiana about 80 welfare mothers spend the summer as trainees at the Indiana Laborers Training Institute a private school created by the construction industry. The group gathers in a cafeteria discussing sand blasters and scaffolding while perusing trade journals and planning meals with sand cement and water as everyday topics.
