Weekend Pecos accidents injure two in minor to severe crash
Pecos police logged two minor weekend crashes and a more serious Sunday collision. On Friday at 1 55 p m Marta Aguilar in a 1971 Mercury struck a parked car owned by Cecilio Ortega on South Oak Street, cited for improper backing and failing to exchange information. Later Friday a 1969 Chevrolet driven by Luis Villalobos Ybarra collided with a 1970 Plymouth driven by Hollis Wayne Hill Jr at West Third and Willow. Hill cited for failure to yield after stopping. Sunday at 12 34 p m Marilyn Compton in a 1967 Dodge failed to yield at Country Club and Pinehurst, striking Mark Zuniga in a 1971 Volkswagen. Zuniga and Jessie Duarte were taken to Reeves Memorial Hospital, with Zuniga treated and released and Duarte listed in satisfactory condition.
