Giant awaits as Mentone gas well pays off
After 232 days work, the El Paso State No 1 well seven miles south of Mentone completed. Halliburton trucks valued at $600000 helped set up the well and over 50 000 gallons of dextrite are injected to test the gas flow. Officials expect new energy supplies as acidizing expands pathways in the reef rock.
