President candidate James Earl Carter Jr selects Senator Walter Mondale as his vice presidential choice. The move is to be ratified at tonight's closing session of the Democratic National Convention in New York.
Security State Bank chairman Archie Scott touts a near completed 250000 expansion including five new drive through windows two extra offices larger parking area and flag poles as proof Pecos will grow beyond past gains. He notes road to 60 million deposit target and plans to keep expanding.
