Swing vote emerges on Texas homeowners rate hike
Ned Price has become the swing vote on whether to raise homeowners rates as the Texas State Insurance Board delays a decision. Chairman Hugh Yantis favors no change, citing rising home values and profits for insurers, while Durwood Manford backs a small increase amid inflation. Confirmation battles loom for Yantis and Manford in a tense special session.
