Coal production declines in week ending June 19th
Bureau of Mines figures show bituminous and anthracite coal output fell about 1 to 2 percent in the week ending June 19. Bituminous output reached 3,504,000 net tons, down 120,000 from the prior week, while five month year to date production totaled 225,500,000 tons. Anthracite output for five and a half months lags 1925, due to strikes, with mid-June total around 33,000,000 tons, about 8,000,600 less than the same period last year.
