Prosecutors to pursue assault to murder case in Houston
Harris County District Atty. Carol Vance says his office will pursue the assault to murder charges against former Houston police officers Arthur N. Hill and Jack McMahon. Hill and McMahon, ages 28 and 22, were acquitted in June of the April 4 1970 death of prisoner Bobby Joe Conner inside the Galena Park station after allegedly beating Conner and injuring Larry Taylor. The trial may be moved to a nearby large city due to publicity in New Braunfels.
