Cynthia Scott Crowned Golden Girl of Pecos Rodeo 1975
Cynthia Marie Scott 17, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Robert Scott, won Golden Girl of the Old West at Pecos High School, after a Spirit of 76 talent skit impressed three judges. Seven other finalists were runners up: Siyvia Gomez, Monya Hooker, Cindy Hopper, Tammy Luoman, Tamera Owens, Julie Smith and Gwen Thigpen. The Golden Girl Court will continue events through Fest One, rodeo parade, and opening night grand entry.

Eight beauties starred alongside visiting belles as judges announced Miss Congeniality Harold Elder and locals Mary Ella Meek and Kristi Kesey poised for future titles. The Women's Division of the chamber of commerce coordinated attire, makeup, transport, and publicity, with thanks to Judy Moss for the reception.

Former Golden Girls reflect on lives after Pecos pageant
The Pecos Rotary Rodeo Revue crowned a new Golden Girl of the Old West and named Cyn tha Scott as the 12th winner. Kristi Kesey, Miss West Texas year, completes her title reign and heads to Odessa for Miss West Texas. Museum Welcomes Old Timers In Pecos Reunion
West of the Pecos Museum hosts the Old Timers Reunion with over 200 attendees expected Wednesday morning. Pecos native William L. Kerr, Midland attorney, will greet guests at about 11 a.m. as a parade passes the museum. Registration starts 8:30 a.m. The oldest registrants will be honored. Invitations extended, open to all including those missed.
