Three Pecos drug suspects released on bond after raid

Three of six suspects charged in the December Pecos narcotics raid posted bond and were released from Reeves County jail. Ruben Barreno Lee Roy Licon and Benito Salcido walked out after bond reductions or postings ranging from 15 000 to 40 000 on various heroin charges.

Heroin Terms Reduced Prompt Appeals by Two Reeves County Men

Two Reeves County men convicted of heroin possession filed motions for appeals after receiving reduced sentences in 143rd District Court. Taylor quits Reeves Memorial Hospital post

Hospital administrator Jerry Taylor resigned at a special board meeting after ongoing personnel problems. The board will search for a replacement, with interim duties by Joel Daniel and department heads. Kneeland gets 10 year term for 1974 abduction

Tommy Ray Kneeland, 26, received a 10 year prison sentence after pleading guilty in Fort Worth to abducting an 18 year old Arlington girl in 1974. He already serves two life terms tied to the killings of Mary Jane Handy and Robert Gholson and a 550 year term for Nancy Mitchell's slaying. In a separate note, Jack Williams reported a burglary at his home later that night, with a calculator and stereo taken.
