Texas farmers and ranchers welcomed warmer weather after a severe ice and snow storm. Livestock losses included newborn calves and lambs, with ongoing need for heavy supplemental feeding and protein feeds becoming scarce in parts. Some crops suffered frost damage, notably peppers, tomatoes, wheat, oats, and vegetables across regions from Panhandle to the Lower Rio Grande Valley.
