Seventh grade teams Globe trotters and Cougars defeated Celtics and Knickerbockers in Friday afternoon basketball at Pecos Junior High School gym. Cougars led by Chris Spray with 16 points. Celtics’ Frankie Rodriguez had 13. Globetrotters beat Knickerbockers 19-15 with David Vinson at six and Steve Kirkwood nine. Coaches Ben Stickels and Bojack Hendricks.

Ricky Calloway led Pecos A with 18 points, followed by Wayne Carrell 12 Luz Ortiz 11 and Paul Dutchover 7. Hair led Grandfalls with 22, Shipler 16. In the B game Joe Vazquez had 16 for Pecos, Villanegas and Carrasco 15 each for Grandfalls, with final scores Pecos 46 Grandfalls 40.
