Nine Die In Kentucky Senior Home Fire
A four story senior citizens home, Westminster Terrace Presbyterian Home, burned in Louisville area early today killing nine occupants and injuring at least eight. The fire started about 2 15 a.m. in the chapel area and spread through the dining room as residents were evacuated to nearby locations. Fire chief Garland Miller said the building housed 91 and burned mainly the chapel and dining areas while most residents escaped via stairs or windows. The home opened in 1966 at a cost of 1 5 million and rents range from 200 to 350 dollars monthly.
