Odessa College launches multiple Pecos extension courses for the Spring semester meeting Jan 11 in Reeves County facilities and area high schools. Courses include LE 1301.630 Intro to Law Enforcement and EN 1312.620 Freshman Second Semester with evening sessions. Rain causes bus wreck near Edinburg Texas
Thirteen people injured in a Valley Transit Co bus wreck remained hospitalized in Edinburg area today. The rain slicked highway 10 miles north of San Manuel in Hidalgo County caused the bus to roll over several times and end on its side in the median. The Emergency report states Pecos Ambulance Service, at 1:48 p.m. January 10, was called to 427 North Cypress to transport a sick boy to Reeves County Hospital. A Pecos Police citation for failure to yield right of way was issued to Rebecca Teresa Spencer, 29, after her 1971 car collided with a 1970 model driven by Billy Guy Kiser, 47, near Adams and SH 17. Theft of service is under investigation at 1310 Johnson trailer No 4 for an illegal television hookup.
