Miss Gholson's Green Chili Spaghetti listed among blue ribbon recipes at county and district shows learned from Agnes Clem who learned it from Ruth Butler. Ingredients include ground beef onion pepper green chilies cream of mushroom soup tomato juice olives and Velveeta. Cook meat and vegetables, mix with half the cheese, bake in a 9 by 12 dish at 250 for 45 minutes to one hour, may be frozen.
Shirley Keller, a night custodian in Smethport, Pa, has kept a birthday list for 33 years. Her contacts reach 3,541 names, including students from Germany, Japan and the Netherlands. She phones most local celebrants and mails greetings to those afar, beginning each call with Happy Birthday.
