The Pecos Jaycees host a two day rattlesnake roundup March 6 7 at the fair barn with a flea market. Fort Worth Venomaires will run a snake handling exhibition. Prizes range from 10 to 75 dollars based on snake counts. admission 75 cents. rattlesnake meat sold. West Texas stays cool and dry with daytime highs near 76 and lows around 25. Mild temperatures persist through Wednesday with decreasing cloudiness. Fog reduced visibility in Beaumont Port Arthur Orange area but expected to lift after sunrise. Other regions see clear skies, light coastal breezes, and scattered showers in the Pacific Coast to Rockies. Unseasonably mild conditions extend from the Mississippi Valley to the Atlantic Coast.
