Carlsbad Caverns Art Show Dates Announced
National Park Superintendent Don Dayton announced the annual art show at Carlsbad Caverns Visitor Center March 22 through April 4. The exhibit, begun in 1972 to mark the National Park System centennial, features paintings of Carlsbad Caverns or Guadalupe Mountains scenes. Up to three paintings per artist may be entered. entries must be at least 8 by 10 inches, exclude miniatures and jewelry, and registration and hanging occur March 22 from 9 a.m. to noon. Ribbons awarded by popular vote for top four entries.
