Oasis Pipe Line formed to move gas to Texas Gulf Coast
Houston firm Oasis Pipe Line Company will own a 508 mile intrastate pipeline from West Texas to the Texas Gulf Coast with gathering systems and gas treating plants in West Texas. Ownership is 50 percent Houston Natural Gas 30 percent Dow Chemical USA and 20 percent Tenagasco Inc. The western section contract goes to Whitatker Pipeline Constructors the center to McVean and Barlow and the third with a mid February award. Capacity adds include Mi Vida and Gomez plants raising output, with total line capacity over 1 bcf per day and completion by July 1972.

Tinkler to head Reeves County Easter Seal Appeal
Harvey Tinkler will head the 1972 Easter Seal Appeal in Reeves County announced by Rodney D. Hargrave president of the Easter Seal Society for Crippled Children and Adults of Texas. Residents will receive appeal letters February 28 and the drive runs through April 2 with funds largely staying in Texas to aid disabled residents.

Texas Highway 10 project approved in Reeves County
The Texas Highway Commission approves two highway works on Interstate 10 and IH 20. The IH 10 expressway project from 4.5 miles southeast of the Jeff Davis county line to 13.8 miles farther is costed at 7.9 million dollars and includes grading structures and surfacing. A second signing project runs 1.0 mile east of IH 20 for 5.5 miles with an estimated cost of 30.2 thousand dollars.

West Texas Production Credit Association reports 28.2 million dollars in 1971 loans to 242 stockholders across Culberson El Paso Hudspeth Pecos and Reeves counties.
